“My approach to medicine is that I treat my patients as I would treat my family and would want to be treated myself. This approach was shaped by the example that my father set as he practiced Orthopedic Surgery in Albany, GA and also by the Christian values instilled in me by my parents and my church family.”

Biography

Like his father before him, Dr. Stephen McLendon views the practice of medicine as more than a profession.

“My father and I felt called to go into medicine,” he explained. Without the example of his father, however, he might have chosen another calling … one that ministers to souls instead of bodies. “I probably would have been a preacher.”

As a physician, he enjoys getting to know his patients and their families.
