Questions & Answers

Q: Where is your practice located?

A: Our office is located at 2402 Osler Court. We are in the Meredyth Professional Plaza off of Meredyth Drive. Meredyth is a crossroad connecting Westover and Dawson Roads.

Q: What are your office hours?

A: We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. For established patients, we offer a walk-in acute care clinic Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Q: Do AIM physicians see patients in the hospital?

A: Our physicians specialize in the practice of outpatient medicine, allowing us to devote our full attention to the patients we see here – without being “called away” to the hospital.

At Phoebe, our hospitalized patients are cared for by the Phoebe Hospitalists, Internists whose sole scope of practice is in-patient medicine. They are in the hospital 24 hours daily. We have excellent, timely communication with the hospitalists, ensuring that your office records are sent to the hospital for their review. Likewise, upon discharge – your important studies, notes, and discharge needs and instructions are sent to us on the day of discharge so that your in-patient and out-patient care are “seamless”.

At Phoebe North (formerly Palmyra Medical Center), AIM is fortunate to have Drs. Rao and Mehta, both Internists and Critical Care specialists, to take care of our patients.

Q: How can I get in touch with a doctor after hours or on the weekend?

A: One of our 9 physicians is on call at all times. By simply dialing our main office number 229.438.3300, you can leave a voice message for the doctor on call, who will promptly call you back.

Q: How can my prescriptions be refilled?

A: Request refills thru your pharmacy 3 business days in advance. If you need a written prescription please call our office at least 3 business days in advance to arrange for their pickup. It is our office policy not to call in/refill prescriptions for sleeping pills or pain medications on nights or weekends. These refills need to be requested during office hours from your specific physician.
